The brave Diglett did stop the attack, but also took great damage from it as well. The Scyther stays in flight, above you. Waiting for you to make your move.
What will your next move be?

Diglett, injured, retreated into it's hole. Elekid - avenging the injury of beloved friend - socketed sparks and aimed it towards hovering, huge, bladed bug.

Scyther, while air-born cannot dodge the sparks in time, and is badly damaged. But not damaged enough.
Scyther takes a huge swoop down and strikes at your Elekid with a great force.

Elekid, fiercely defiant when it comes to losing, took the damage head-on - and while the adversaries were connected, used it's last bit of strength to spark a forceful shocking... hopefully it'd be enough

Scyther, having reached it's breaking point, topples over and collides with the ground, making quite the thud.
Elekid has gained 2 levels, throw a pokeball to attempt a capture...

Cali looked down at the collapsed Scyther, pondering whether or not to catch it. Better sense said that it'd be a good addition - or atleast a good trading pokemon. Tossing a pokeball, trainer awaited a verdict. Caught or escape?

The pokeball shook violently. The scyther, even in it's weakened state, sensed it's freedom was about to be serevely impaired. Try as it might, though, it proved useless as the pokeball finally lay still. A tinkling sound filled the air, and light rapidly faded from the crystal-white button.
Cali caught Scyther Level: 12 Gender: - Nickname: - Attacks: Quick Attack, Fury Swipes, Leer

Elekid did a little victory jig, beckoning Diglett back from it's grounded hiding. "Ele-kiii!" /we won!/ Diglett bounced up and down and wiggled about in it's hole, showing delight.
Cali ushered the pokemon forward, mounting Raikou and following in tow. Almost through the forest! Woo! One more pokemon should finish it up...

"Sprout!" You hear a pokemon yell in pain. Apparently Raikou had stepped on it. What do you do?

Raikou, unknowing of such a minute pokemon, kept right on walking - massive paws crushing the poor pokemon several more time with such a swagger ((xD Poor Bellsprout)). Elekid however, was more inspective, and called out hault to the team as he poked and prodded inspection towards the squashed pokemon ((xD Hehehe))

Bellsprout's eyes were swirly. It looked pretty crushed into the ground. "Bell...??" It said, but can barely be heard now that it was stepped on by a huge kitty.

Crystalline Clefairy lept from Cali's lap, and swiftly made her way down to the squashed Bellsprout. "Cleffa! Fah-fairy!" Nursing the wild wounded, Clefairy patted the Bellsprout on the head, hoping to heal or atleast sooth the poor, smooshed flower pokemon.

"Bellsprout!" Suddenly, it popped up out of the ground and was just fine. It must've been healed a bit by the dirt around its roots. It looked over at the Raikou, and glared at it. But then looked back at the helpful Clefairy, and smiled, doing a little, weird dance to show its thanks.

Cali chuckled and patted Raikou reassuringly, who glared daggers right back at stomped-upon Bellsprout. Clefairy patted new friend once more upon the head and obliged the continuance of journey, evidently not expecting Bellsprout would want or need anything more.

"Bellsprout?? Bellsprout!" It squealed, following them as fast as it could on its little root-feet. It tripped, and fell flat on its face.
